honestly?
without a doubt the best 3D Sonic game by loads.
I actually think, it could possibly be one of the best Sonic games ever made. And I thought this before I finished it, so its not a post game "omg it's the best game ever" thing.

however, it only takes like 4 hours if that to finish the first play through, and since you don't have all the wisp, the second play through and finding the red rings... is actually more fun.

its odd, but it's the only game I know which gets much better after you finish it...
so, if you wanna get all the chaos emeralds (I suggest you do, its good) you're gonna love it,
if you're gonna finish it and leave it, you'll still love it, but ... not sure if it's worth full price.

Forgive me if I take that with a pinch of salt, you seem to say that about every Sonic game. The difference this time is that some people agree with you. I think I'll take my chances with the DS version.

well, I said unleashed was the best 3D sonic, which is was at the time. thing is... there hasn't really been a really good 3d sonic.
its usually "this is good for a sonic game", i said unleashed was the best 3D sonic and it was at the time, but werehog did suck.... just not as much as the other characters in the other 3D Sonic games.


what makes colours so good is, there's actually platforming. unleashed was great, but was just speed and memorisation.
So basically, if they released unleashed without werehog, it'll would be on par with colours.

thing is, there's really no competition, if you look at the past 3D sonic games.

adventure was amazing at the time, aged horribly.
adventure 2 is the downfall of sonic, despite people liking it some reason.
Heroes is good but, was far far too receptive

Shadow the Hedgehog is awful
Sonic 06 is the worst game ever made
Sonic and the Secret rings I actually liked
Black Knight was really really bad
Unleashed, good, but had some mind boggling stupid ideas


so, you play Colours, you press start, and you're straight in the first level. compare that to unleashed where it takes 30 mins to play the first level and you start to realise why colours is so good. cause, it's just level after level of Sonic and just Sonic.
there's no sun and moon medals, or crappy mechas or treasure hunting...or fishing. Just Sonic... with solid controls, and actual platforming.
it kinda makes Somic 4 seem like a waste of time since colours feels more like the classic sonic games than that did.

and, the reason I say it matches the classic games is that the level designs are really...really good. There's so many paths, you can probably play the same level 3 times and it'll be completely different.

and, you can play as super sonic on Any level >__>

I heard it's great though. probably the safe bet since it's basically A modified rush.
although the final boss is different and the story is changed and has lots of crappy Sonic characters in it...*cough* Silver.

the wii one just sounded better to me. and... just wanted a good 3d sonic game.

also, it has the best music too lol

Ive had the main theme stuck in my head for days now. Even though it just sounds like a light-rock version of Owl City with less gay and more cheese.

And thanks Jay for the review/big thingy you just wrote. If its better than Sonic and the Secret Rings Ill be delighted, cause I really liked that game.

Though Im yet to get Sonic 4 <_<
