Have a DSi? Buy Shantae right this second.

Apart from perhaps Plants vs. Zombies, I'm having trouble thinking of a downloadable game I've enjoyed more than the new Shantae for DSiWare. It's BRILLIANT. The controls are spot on, the characters are really interesting, and it's one of the best animated games I've ever seen in terms of character movements and actions. Everything so far has been beyond what most retail games provide gamers, and I find myself not wanting to wait to go back and play more.

You're seriously missing out on one of the best releases this generation if you pass this little gem up. And if you're one of the folks waiting on the 3DS before doing the DS thing, don't forget about this game since it will be compatible. Wow. Genius stuff by Way Forward.

Yeah, but people consider it dying because
a) The 3DS is on the way and will kill it off and
2) It is no longer selling bajillions of units every second, so compared to the impossible feats it pulled off before it is not doing as well

While both of those are true I still say that it's dying is just a bit presumptuous since it seems to still be a fair distance away from that.

I wouldn't say "dying", per se. I would put it into the "growing older" category.
