| I got Fallout New Vegas. That's pretty much it for what I got to play on Christmas. I did get Minecraft and Cataclysm with some shares of my Christmas money too, but I played those early... Not sure if it counts. :P | |

| 90% of my gifts were clothes. The other 10% was a pocket knife (Yes, cause I need sharp pointy objects in my back pocket,) a tool kit (Wooooo. ,) slippers, and my mother framed the note JKR sent and the bookmarks, even though she forgot one. Sigh, more than some people get, I suppose. | |

| I didn't know you were Jewish!
Well I got to spend a wonderful day with my family, and that was the best present of all. Really, I had one of the best Christmases of my life because everyone was really happy this year, and it was so much fun.
On the present side of things, I have to admit it was also one of the best years ever which only added to the excitement. We got a towel warmer (no more getting out of the shower to a cold towel! Woo!) and a puppy! Except the puppy is pretend, just one of the mechanical ones that look like they're sleeping. Still cute, it looks like Ein from Cowboy Beebop so that's what we named him. I got a bunch of candy, the most ABSOLUTELY EXCITING of it being a BOX OF ALL-RED STARBURST. OH MY GOD YES. I was screaming like a little kid, honest to goodness. It's about freaking time they released a box of nothing but the red ones!! I also got a book on the Art of Pixar Shorts which is awesome.
My top two presents, though, had to be a tiny bag of Disney pins individually wrapped in tin foil. I'm going to open one every day, so Christmas will last until mid-January! WOO! And, the mother of them all.... My amazing and wonderful wife bought me a freaking Cintiq. Oh. Man. It is my Christmas, Birthday, Anniversary, Groundhog Day, and Valentine's present for the next 12 years, but WOW was that an amazing gift. I'm going to be an animating MACHINE with this sucker on my desk. (Of course, the fact that it will be easier means I'll want to do more, which likely means a longer delay of cartoons because they'll be better than ever!)
Merriest Christmas since the one when I got my N64.

| Why does everyone get so much money? I mean, its kind of like a big "I don't know what you want and I dont care," sort of thing.
The best part about shopping for someone is finding something creative and cool for them, not just giving them some money and shoving them out the door.

| Yeh, Christmas lately hasn't been great. My parents just give me the money and tell me to get what I want and hold onto it before Christmas without using it. This was probably my cheapest Christmas, actually :P Minecraft: 10 euro, Cataclysm: 35, Fallout: 35, coming to 80 euro. +20 of my own money for the stuffed rabbit I got Sasha. She was pretty happy with it :P | |

The best part about shopping for someone is finding something creative and cool for them, not just giving them some money and shoving them out the door. Well I've found it goes in stages. When my cousins became 14 - 24 I had NO idea what to get them anymore, so I just gave them money. Then once they left college it was much easier to know who they were and what they liked, so it went back to normal thoughtful gifts. I think the younger you are the easier it is, and the older you get the easier it is. Teenage years are the hardest, so money is just a go-to standard.

Merriest Christmas since the one when I got my N64. Well at least someone had fun. I was terribly sick from the day before christmas eve all the way to the 29th. Oh and yeah I got cash for christmas... so much for tradition.

| Lesse... A new, significantly better heating blanket (it's bitterly cold here pretty much 24/7/365), a few pairs of jeans that actually fit and don't have holes in the ass end, socks (which I needed), an army jacket from my dad, and an IOU from my mom which I intend on cashing in for a decent camera, since mine vanished yonks ago.
You get significantly less stuff for Christmas once you move out, but you enjoy the "together" time much more as well. I actually really liked this year... I spent time with people I legitimately care about, and it was very good.
