Mine: Electronica. I don't know why, but it's awesome. Some of you will probably disagree, but you're all entitled to your opinion.

I didn't like it a few months ago, but then The Monarch showed me an album called 16x-bit Nostalgia. (That's a link by the way.) After searching around for more, I found an album called Square by Robot Science. (Link once again.) Luckily for me, I was able to receive the album during a sale, and got it for free.

I also like 70's - 90's rock, as well as alternative.

What genre of music do you guys listen to?

Uuuh I think the majority of mine falls under Alternative Rock. Mostly Muse, Radiohead, Coldplay, and Metric, with some Secret Machines and Porcupine Tree tossed in amongst everything else that isn't that genre.

I agree with fg. Alternative all the way. Lately I've been listening to; Vampire weekend, mgmt, neon trees, green day, all American rejects, and a little afi.

Rock. Most versions of it.

And some metal, especially before wrestling matches.

I don't really have one genre, I suppose. I like songs with catchy tunes regardless, but one of my deciding factors are lyrics. There are some songs I love the music to, but I hate the lyrics, so I hate the song. Lyrics are really important to me. If I can't get behind what they're saying, I don't like singing it so I don't enjoy the song.

You know that song "Hope it gives you hell" or whatever it's called? I love the music to that song, but I despise the lyrics. The guy is such a jerk. I actually feel really bad for him. He can't get over this girl and sings about how he hopes she's doing poorly because he dislikes her so much. That's a terrible way to be, and really shows he never cared about her at all. (I like the song so much, I ended up writing my own lyrics and I sing that now.)

My enjoyment ranges from folk music, to orchestra, to chiptune, to heavy metal, classic rock, alternative (electro particularly) rock, to the occasional R&B, progressive rock and the coup de gras, ska.

The more music you like, the happier you are.
I'm hoping to get a band started when I'm older, when I finally start properly practicing bass. Not gonna be anything spectacular, not gonna take it seriously, just have fun with it.

Anything Techno like really.
Dump of my favorite music.
(click on the names, there links)

Hyperglide by ADSRe- Holy Shit. For a unheard of online techno label, this stuff is good. Check Out "Must Sound Perfect"

Glue Sniffer by Glue70-It's a fun little group of tracks. Got that YTPMV feel. Fun Stuff.

There's a party in my head and you're all invited By mrSimon-It's the one best albums I have ever heard. Hands down.

Because Maybe! by Renard Hardcore Raggacore. fuck yeah.

Girl Talk-I would like to thank some guy I talked to on chatroulette for getting me in to him. That song is "Hold Up" from "Night Ripper", the reason the end is so abrupt is because the album is like one large song, and should be listened to as a whole. If you should download any album it should be "All Day" (thats a link, dude.) This is one large 71-min song.

(hey all this music is free. go download all of these albums.)

Predominantly indie- itself a subgenre of alternative rock- and it's subgenres and related genres. I listen to a lot of bands, as attributed by my Last.fm page. It'd be easier to mention what I've listened to recently than to name off my all time favorite bands, 'cause I've never taken the time to consider what my absolute favorite bands are.

Some of the best bands I've been listening to recently are iLiKETRAiNS, Klaxons, The Twilight Sad, Redjetson, Working For a Nuclear Free City, Wolf Parade, and Woven Hand.

After wondering one day what the hell real screamo was, (Its Wikipedia page doing nothing to help) I decided to look it up on Youtube... I've been sucked into that genre, as well as its mother genre, Emo.

Midwest Pen Pals is probably my favourite band at the moment, fusing the noisey screams of screamo with instrumentals similar to American Footbal. Men as Trees is also another one of my favourites, fusing Post-Rock (another genre I enjoy) with screamo; as opposed to Envy, who are mainly Post-Rock.

That's not to say I don't listen to other stuff... I actually thoroughly enjoy a lot of other stuff... Arab On Radar, anyone?
