Who cares. It's awesome! I for one have used the glasses before. All the new 3D movies use the RealD glasses and it looks amazing. :=P:

Gaming companies typically start working on a next-gen console right after the current gen one comes out. Ninty's been doing stuff on the Wii's sucessor since it was released, so it's not like it's uncommon.

Well, we all know the Wii was just gonna be a Gamecube add-on <_<

so.. they probably have a console idea before they decided to make a whole console based on a add on

imho 3D sucks. If it were so technologically amazing every single form of entertainment would probably would be in 3D. The technology is so old.

My humble beliefs.

3D in gaming will cause massive hysteria as long as you have to wear those 3D glasses.

First, gameplay videos will be impossible to watch normally, unless the guy has an extra 3d glass and put it on the lens of the camera, because doing direct-dvd recording will result in the messy 2-image movement.

Second, casual gamers will call whoever wears those un-stylish glasses and playing what you believe is ''next gen'' and even do statements or crap about it, will inevitably and immaturely call you a NERD, that depends on the audience of course (At least here, most likely people over your place aren't chimpanzees).

Lastly, I don't have actual proof about because I can't be arsed to type www.news.com on the address bar, but I have heard of cases of people having dizziness and other crap when watching/playing a movie/interactive object in 3D glasses CONSTANTLY, but I'm not sure about that so it may as well be for seizurific people.

In conclusion, you biznatches better get a better solution.
