| Nothing is gonna get done in the first year. Sure he'll do a lot of stuff, but the effect won't be seen for a few years.
Also, I was more concerned about the fact that the latest Reel Big Fish album is released today.

| I didn't even have to go to school today! :D
Though that was probably because there are some students who live in/near DC, so it wouldn't be very likely that they'd be able to leave their house anyway.

If you do meet him, ask him how to spell. You might learn a thing or two. Anyway. His chances of being assasinated are not as high as people seem to think, I would say. For starters, I can't see terrorists wanting to target him any more than Bush or any other president. Think about it: he represents change; a new America. He's going to pull out of Iraq eventually and has yet to comment on Israel, which is an implication that he may not support it as much as past presidents. Why would they want to kill someone who was going to do that? I'm not implying that Obama supports or is endorsed by terrorists by any stretch of the means, but I really can't see assasination attempts against the guy being increased in that respect. For all intents and purposes, he's doing things that they're okay with (relatively speaking). Again, I don't think that associates him with terrorists; I just think that they've less of a reason to want to harm him than other presidents. And I know, I know... Racists, right? People are going to kill him because he's black. I can't argue that people won't try, but really -- I can't see it happening. Think about it: terrorists are scary because they have access to all kinds of deadly stuff. Nukes, chemicals, poisons; you name it, they can buy or make it. We wouldn't be such a paranoid country were it not for the fact that they're advancing just as fast as we are. A gun is frightening, but being in a room with a hundred-odd people and knowing that one has a concealed gun and may kill you whenever they feel like it is even moreso. It's the fact that the terrorists are smart and that they have power that makes them threatening. Now what do racists have, exactly? ...White robes? Besides the fact that the vast majority of racists against Obama are in the country he's going to be running (and therefore have very, very little chance of starting anything without the government finding out about it), nothing that those buffons can do is really all that scary when you think about the fact that the entire Secret Service is going to be going 24/7, making sure that he's safe. Racists aren't any more technologically advanced than the rest of us (really, they're still stuck in the Civil War era), and they don't have access to anything more than what the average American does. And considering that the government gets all the newest and best tech before anyone else... I think Obama will be alright. That's not to say that there's not an elevated threat when compared to presidents before him, but still. I don't think people have to worry about it quite as much as they do. /rant

And you don't have to be so mean. I'm dyslexic for crying out load. Don't forget George was targeted... I have no idea what that means. Targeted by terrorists? Well duh. But like I said: Obama probably has less of a chance of being "targeted" than past presidents. I really don't see how that has any relevence in what I said two posts up. And yes, I am aware that you are dyslexic and I could have gone without pointing that out, but since you made a snarky comment about someone I rather admire, I thought a witty retort was in order.
