Left 4 Dead

Well, Left 4 Dead is out. I've only played through one campaign (out of 4), but this is my opinion so for: OMG THIS GAME IS BETTER THAN SEX. More info later.

Can't get it till Christmas at least

Although I have played all of the first campaign via Demo and PC Gamer Showdown, and I agree, its awesome :superawesome:

After a couple days playing, this is my opinion:

It's fun, and I really enjoyed it, but it's not what I thought it would be. It lacks a good story, like Half-Life, instead doing the whole "you gotta guess it" thing they did in Portal. While it worked well in Portal, it's mainly frustrating in Left 4 Dead, as if the developers didn't actually have a story. While the multi-player is fun, it fades faster than TF2 and Counter-Strike. There isn't enough variety to make you want to come back for more. I liked the game, but I can't help feeling dissapointed. I expected more from Valve.

Its not supposed to have a plot as such tho, so you shouldn't really expect one.

yeah, i played that game too. The weird thing was, was that you can walk through your team mates. And yeah, there should be more variety.

The word on the street is that valve will be releasing new campaigns via download as time goes on.

Were there only 2 campaigns to play?

I hope they do with versus.

Been playing it on my 360. Pretty awesome game. Shame that the whole zombie epidemic is a bit random (no storyline at all, really). But, it's just supposed to be a really fun multiplayer game I suppose, and it is definitely that! Does get rather repetitive after a while, though.

I do not have this, but I will have this. I hear only good things. (blocks ears to non-good nonsense)

Valve games always get better with age... but CS is getting a little clunky.

I have the 360 version . Anyone fancy a versus match?

Though only say yes if you're awesome. So far, I haven't lost once, and I've played about 50 matches.

Then why do you need someone good with you?

There's still 1 level I haven't played yet.

Played it last night with my friends. Man does it make time fly! It's really fun, but I wouldn't say it's better than sex. :P
