Status of the Forum/Website

You know what my problem with one board forums are?

Threads last about as long as a marshmellow in the fire. There is no such thing as truly deep and long discussion on boards like that. Now, yes its true we don't have much of that going on here but we COULD. That's important.

Having one board really is just a terrible idea that was meant to make an admin's job easier. I swear, I've seen that stupid one board forum stuff and I can't stand those places. Attracts all the people who are looking to one-up their post count. Plus it looks awful, and is the equivalent to a wonderful multi-layered sandwich thrown into a blender and drank instead of eaten.

Firstly, there would be no post counts. Frankly the idea of e-p**** stuff like that needs to go away. What would replace it would be some sort of rankling system based on people not being idiots. That's the way the internet should be run. Your "post count" goes up when you don't act like an idiot. Ah what a place the web would be if that were just implemented...

Secondly, if people would DO the long discussion thing, maybe that would warrant more boards, but like you said, it doesn't/didn't happen.

And thirdly, if I were to make the new forum for FtM one board, there would be an organization system allowing people to sort threads visually instead of it being a jumbled mess. However as Flying Giraffe pointed out, a three board forum seems to work pretty darn nicely. So I guess we'll see.

So the new forum would be a FtM board, a gaming board, and a General Discussion board? I like that.

KB will continue to be done whenever, but FtM will be back in action come October when I go back to work. My return to school is coming to a close...

It's actually pretty exciting. I've even written a few cartoons with a discernible plot! Madness, I know. I'm changing a whole heap of things, though. Whole heap.

The first toon back won't be plot driven, just as an FYI. It's more "classic Fred" style, what with being a relaunch cartoon. It's also more of a character establishing bit, to re-introduce the cast and give glimmers of what they're each about. I'm pushing them in certain directions now, and giving them more personality. You'll see when it comes out, I just felt it necessary to do a little "reboot" of sorts that reintroduced things since going forward there will likely be an influx in audience. (I'm actually going to TRY to go get more viewers now, unlike before.) Sceb will still be Sceb, and the rest still their core characters, but now they'll have crazy things like GOALS. (For example, Fred has developed the strong desire to take over the Mailbag from Sceb, because in his mind it makes Sceb so popular. Fred has that goal to be popular more than he has in the past. Character development and whatnot.)

Future toons, though, should have a lot more plot to them. Now, I'm not promising award winning scripts here, I just mean that they won't revolve around updating the website or lack of updating the website, like so, so many of them are right now. Examples of what I'd consider plot driven FtM toons would be "Thanks for Something", "Gobble Gobble Boom", and "Sour Summer Return." Stuff like that more often, instead of things like the relaunch toons or all the others that deal nearly 100% with the website updates.

How about that pink space chicken?

Will it be a gritty reboot?
