Why don't you loan me a few more thousand dollars then, Mr. Moneybags? Gotta start somewhere. If these do well, I can fund more stuff. As for the models, they're friends of mine. I told them I needed pretty people for my t-shirt models and they were happy to help. If I would have taken pictures of myself no one would have bought anything and instead would run screaming from their computers crying "Monster! Monster!" I'll see if I can get the real Mr. D and BDDB to model any future t-shirts that have Mr. D or BDDB on them. That would be awesome. (Not that I have any plans for a BDDB or Mr. D shirt. No clue what they'd say on them...)

| You could put some Math related quote on there.
You might as well make a new thread asking for quotes.

| Wait, since I live in the same state as the Store, does this mean I have to pay tax? |

| You should know full well we don't pay taxes on clothes here!
Or wait, does your city over there on the other side have clothing tax?
Anyway, you won't have to pay tax until you buy some non-clothes or non-food related item from the Fred Shop. Then, yes. Yes indeed. The price you pay for living in the best state of the country. *high five*
(Except Hawaii, of course. But that doesn't count.)

If you can't afford to make the merch, you probably shouldn't be making it, because to be honest I don't really expect these things will fly off the shelves.

(Except Hawaii, of course. But that doesn't count.) I don't normally buy clothes, so I would not know. And why would you want to live in Hawaii? So you can buy everything for four times the price? North Carolina much better. AND YEAH PA. *High Five* |

I bought a platypus shirt, also. Twelve bucks is pretty decent, I'd say.

If that was you, I can ship it out before it clears (takes 3-5 days) since I know it's you and I can trust you're not trying to scam me. :) - Eat box wrote:

Order some shirts... NOW, and then maybe I can afford to get plushies made LATER. I had to start somewhere... - ~Sgt-Jay~ wrote:

is it like a tshirt maker thing? The shirts are printed by a professional printing house in Pittsburgh PA. It's pretty cool, they're a group of artists who didn't want to be cogs in the machine of some big company, so they started their own. That's my cup of tea, too, so I was happy to partner with them. A little more expensive to have them made (than, say, a sweatshop in China) but I think it's worth it. - Mega wrote:

Like I said above, I had to start the store somewhere and it was with shirts for now. I'm currently looking at the following things for the next item to the store: FtM DVD Volume 1, Space Chicken Plushies, Fred/SC mugs, or FtM Posters. The thing is, first I need to get some T-shirts sold so I can build some liquid assets to ORDER more things. It's a process. Faster the shirts sell, faster more stuff is added. And like Stick said, no one including me expects the merchandise to fly off shelves right now, so it will take a bit of time. But so far, so good and I'm hopeful.

| So the shipping to the UK is roughly $9, not whatever the auto-calculator was telling people. We'll fix it tonight, but just so folks are aware it isn't $28 for two shirts to go across the ocean. | |

It was a Cafepress store that lost me money (instead of making any) and I couldn't control the quality of the products at all. I wanted more control over that sort of thing, so I closed that one a long time ago.

| I got my shirt today. It's 2 AM and I've been working for 12 hours so words are hard to explain use language face, but it's pretty cool. Plus the other stuff was awesome. I'll try to speak English in the morning. | |

| Awesome. I guess the holiday slowed the delivery process down a bit, usually it would only take two or three days. Good to know it arrived safely.
I need to order some of those cheaper packaging envelope things, because buying the ones at the post office is way, way too expensive...
