THANK YOU, good god. You've put into words what I've been trying to for years.
God had nothing to do with how incredible I am. Tongue

I hadn't even considered that. You're right on that count though.

I agree with this largely because some books are so bad that they make the reader question why they haven't stopped reading yet.

I read one of those once. It wasn't really bad, it was just weird and made no sense. I kept asking "Why am I still reading this?!"

It ended up being one of my favorite books ever because I read the sequel later and it blew me away. Totally the most mind-blowing book I ever read. It was nuts.

I've read a few bad books, and it's much the same reason I don't watch much TV. I spend too much time nitpicking the product and not enough consuming it. Strangely, this same issue doesn't really apply to me playing games, they either don't hold my attention... or do so all too well. As most recently attributed by the amount of time I've playing STALKER Call of Pripyat recently.

I usually have trouble saying what my favorite "thing" is, but with books I know for sure- it'd have to be A Confederacy of Dunces. Particularly because the main character is so pompous but in reality still lives with his mother. It's great, really.

Earlier I decided to casually skim the TV Tropes page for 30 Rock.

That was 3 hours ago. Still have 10 tabs open, just taking a break to help you join in the fun: http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/ExecutiveMeddling

See you all later.

Good morning everyone. Did everyone enjoy their three hours of sleep last night? I know I did! I could sure go for some more!

So what's the plan for Thanksgiving for those of you whom celebrate it? I myself will be having a slightly non-traditional meal because my mother in-law cooks mostly Chinese food. There will be turkey, though. And I'm making mashed potatoes so we at least have that.
We had Chinese last year and I very much liked it.

We are going to have a traditional meal this year though. Too bad, considering all I would normally eat is Turkey and Bread.

TV Tropes does not want me to do anything else once I open it.

Which is why I'm glad I have nothing important to do right now.

EDIT:AND why I'm mad that there's some error with the site now.

Mine isn't too bad.

Stalker: Pripyat & Chernobyl
AC:2
Poker Night at the Inventory
and Civ V

And I don't get the point of TV Tropes.

It's mostly so you can be all "haha yeah, I guess they do do that." It's a humungous web of popular culture!

You missed the part where you get to be "haha yeah, I guess they do do that". That's very satisfying.

That is a very large claim to make. So large and outrageous that it's immediately evident it's a lie from the next galaxy over. Miffed

I reorganized my wishlist so my top 10 games were in order based on the price of each item, so if I do win something I'll get a bunch of stuff.

FlyingGiraffe is dead on about the purpose of TVTropes though.

It's not like TV Tropes teaches you anything. I just scroll down the page looking for shows that I know, where it tells me things I was already aware of.

BUT I CANT STOP

Why, still can't get into mouse + keyboard?

Yeah, it does take awhile to get used to unless you play a game that FORCES you to use the mouse. (Eg: Gmod)

But you could still use your PS3 controller to play it.

And plus, once you get into PC gaming, you will never go back (in a good way).

Not this again Papytendo. What the hell do you find so innately good about PC gaming that you would regard console gaming as an all -around inferior experience? Miffed

PC doesn't have Elebits, therefor PC is clearly the inferior experience.

Hmm... But console has no WoW... Hmm... This is a tricky subject.

I never said that PC was the better experience Ivan. (Even though for most genres, it is)

All I was just saying is that you will never want to leave PC gaming if you get involved with it.

And now it really starts to feel like the Holidays when you begin pouring through the Black Friday ads in the newspapers. ROFL
