Dammit, I thought deleting threads moved them to The Graveyard automatically. Apparently this is not the case and I am deeply sorry to all of those whose posts have been lost. I feel like Comkeen.

One shouldn't imply that one is a felon if one isn't. Unfortunately the admin panel doesn't show post editing in the history as far as I can tell, it certainly doesn't show up in the admin or mod action lists. Offenses can't go unpunished though, so this lack of tangible blame leads an administrator to take implied confessions seriously.

An alternate account is a greater offense than a few edited posts, methinks, but the ban extension granted is only one day, due to the indefinite nature of your original guilt. Hope you don't take any of this personally. =)

EDIT: As I have just (though accidentally) done something almost comparable in the deletion of the other thread, I suppose I should ban myself for a day. Bye.

So... Judging by the admin log and the above post, you banned Linkred for his changing of SMH's leaving thread and subsequent creation of an alternate account. Hm. Admittedly, it did cause some confusion and probably wasn't the best use of admin powers, but I don't think it was enough to merit a ban, and hey... I thought it was pretty funny, honestly. I suppose that whether or not it was "bad" enough for a ban was up to question, but I'd prefer that we don't ban each other, period. If you have a problem with something someone has done, PM me... Otherwise, just let it be. If they're posting porn or spamming, by all means, drop the hammer. But this was something that probably didn't deserve a ban. I won't dock you for it or anything, but I would like to remind everyone that we mustn't be nazis and that this forum is, in essence, anarchy. People are going to use their powers for strange things... But so long as it doesn't disrupt the forum, there's nothing really wrong with it.
