Day Chat v5.4

Yeah, so I caved in and bought Black Ops.

^something I definitely won't do.

And I had the weirdest dream ever last night. It was basically me just walking around my house, mobile phone in hand, trying to ring my girlfriend. Any time I got through to her she'd be really sarcastic and make it clear she didn't wanna talk. I started panicking, and I was like "There's no way she could ever be like that. This has to be a dream" so I opened my eyes and woke up. You know the way in TV shows you have those dream scenes where the person says "I'm gonna wake up!" it was JUST like that, only I actually did. I woke up and said "Thank God...".
I was so relieved for some reason...

Suddenly, the masked man was behind me and pushed me to one side, as if he was protecting me. "Who are you?" I asked, he didn't respond. The remaining six clowns came attacking all at once, but with one sweep on his chainsaw they were killed.

The masked man, took of his mask.... it was none other than.. Jesus Christ. "Oh my god" I said. Suddenly, his calm and loving face turned into pure rage. "THOU SHALL NOT USE GODS NAME IN VAIN!!!" I was scared, i ran and locked myself in the bathroom. Jesus was banging on the door, the handle was shaking. I was trapped. I thought to myself, who could beat Jesus in a fist fight? It came to me, I looked in the mirror and said his name 3 times, and surely enough Chuck Norris appeared, smashed the door down and started punching Jesus. I ran away, as quick as I could. The fight went on for hours, i watched from a distance. There was a huge explosion, I went to check it out... they was both dead. WHHHHY CRUEL WORLD!?!?

so, I went on the pc, which was the only thing undamaged to share this story.

Oh and Conan was disappointing last night. :/

Its actually quite good. But none of you will probably accept that, so meh.

And I'm sure Black Ops is good and all, but I'm still not getting it. I already have Reach to play FPS's with my friends, WoW soon for everything else, and then Fallout NV for single player times.

Black ops isn't good because it is a CoD game and it is published by Activision. And Conan wasn't the funniest, but I think he is shaking off the dust a little bit.

Eh, I'm gonna give Black Ops a bit. The flaws will make themselves apparent soon enough. Still gonna get it though. Not before Cataclysm. Too many god damn games.

Woo, I thought I was going to have to have been the one pointing out that calling a game bad simply because of its PUBLISHER is an awfully stupid idea.

Even saying a game is going to be bad because of its developer is a stretch, but publisher? No.

And personally, I don't care who developed it, I'm not buying it.
But as far as gaming corparations go, Activision are pretty much dicks. Next to EA.

Im still torn between AC:Brotherhood and Black Ops, whichever I dont get at the end of the month I'll just get at Christmas.

Stupid Black Ops, now my friends list has gone back to being 99% people playing CoD.

Ohhh and also, Fable 3 is a great game, yes its light on the RPG stuff, but if you want a heavy RPG theres New Vegas. The world and the combat and some of the decision making makes for a top experience. Although the 'being the king' part is slightly ruined by the fact you can deposit your own money into the treasury. Once you buy houses and businesses with their perma income, all you have to do is wait to be rich. Gonna play through it again without buying a house/shop to rent out.

Activison's giant douchebaggery is only 75% of the reason. The other reason is because how terrible the online is. All it is launchers! Launchers, launchers, launchers! And plus, why would I need that when BF:BC2 is so amazingly awesome. And at least they don't charge for a map pack that features two new maps and two old ones for $15.

I personally don't think Black Ops is bad at all, but certainly isn't any better than several other shooters. I've only played it once, but in a week or so I get a chance to play it a whole bunch. I'll pass final judgment once I've played the game and at least gotten somewhat familiar with how it plays. But stopping short and saying the publisher will ruin a game is something like every person I know at my school who says that every Wii game is bad because it simply is a Wii game.

Black Ops may be over-hyped and probably will be overplayed because of the whole CoD franchise thing, but that doesn't equate to being bad.

And that is why I hate CoD in one post.

If you don't like a publisher or their methods, the only way to fight them is to not buy their games. So that makes perfect sense to do. They don't care what you think of them, they care about money in their pockets and if you're giving them that money.

Because one little stubborn nerd not buying the biggest game of all time will make Activision hurt.
